Colin is a Partner in Taylor Wessing’s Intellectual Property department. His practice focuses on the life sciences sector (including medtech and healthtech), and he advises on both non-contentious and contentious matters. Colin advises clients across the full range of the life sciences industry from listed multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies to university spin-outs on:
- commercial agreements (in particular, patent and know licensing, research and development agreements, collaborations, supply and distribution agreements, manufacturing agreements, clinical trial agreements etc.) both in terms of negotiating and drafting them but also in advising on disputes arising out of them;
- regulatory matters; and
- IP and commercial aspects of Corporate transactions (including M&A, VC investments and IPOs).
Chambers & Partners recently singled out Colin as a key individual for having impressed clients with his “very practical” approach, and with his ability “to give you business like solutions” and clients describe him as “very sharp and intelligent” and a “very good IP all-rounder”. Colin has a first class degree in cell biology from Durham University. Colin is a contributing author of the life sciences chapter of the book IP Issues in Corporate Transactions (published 2015, Globe Law and Business).
