Anathe Patschull
Trainee Patent Attorney
Anathe joined Kilburn & Strode in January 2022 and has several years’ experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the fields of polymers, biotechnology, agrotechnology, feed and food technology.
Before joining Kilburn & Strode, she was a UK IPO patent examiner in the fields of food technology, feed technology, medical devices, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals; as well as working as a trainee patent attorney.
Anathe completed a PhD in Biophysics, Bioinformatics and Biochemistry at the ISMB, publishing 5 papers on computational drug discovery methods and on the first viral protein-miRNA X-ray structure. During her BSc in Biochemistry, she conducted research into Alzheimer using antibody labelling and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) as well as research into Ag+ complexes as antimicrobials.
Her Master in Management of Intellectual Property at Queen Mary dissertation focused on the interplay between health economics, patent law and marketing authorisation of orphan drugs.
